**About the Team:**
We are searching for a Product Manager to support the UKG Pro Talent Management product team. This role will support two cutting-edge agile teams that are responsible for the delivery of functionality of our innovative Internal Talent Marketplace and Unified Skills.
**About the Role:**
This individual is an analytical thinker with domain knowledge and strong customer focus, who is accountable for researching, analyzing and documenting clear and actionable business requirements in a way that they can be distributed across one or more development teams, to incrementally deliver the desired functionality.
This role requires talent and passion for collaboration and will be working with skilled Software Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers in creating high-quality software for customers and the organization in the UKG Pro Talent Management product area.
Skills essential to this role are strong analysis, organization, written and verbal communication, ability to grasp new domains quickly and understand the upstream and downstream effects, along with a disciplined approach to the processes (escalations, JIRA, documentation, etc.) specific to UKG.
**Responsibilities:**
Owns the definition and direction of complex features and enhancements that have cross domain/team dependencies throughout the development process.
Writes user stories and documents conditions of acceptance with input from other stakeholders' input including UX Designers, Developers, and QA.
Stocks the product backlog with actionable user stories; Prioritizes requirements and evaluates tradeoffs according to business value.
Collaborates on detailed functional designs, using Agile methodologies and tools.
Inspires and leads development teams to deliver on time with quality in a dynamic environment without management authority.
Researches industry trends and participates in customer meetings to identify customer needs, keeping customer empathy front and center.
Supports customer innovation programs, Alpha and Beta testing, and Controlled Roll-Out to validate product value with customers and prospects.
Participates in organizational and customer readiness activities for new product releases by reviewing learning content and joining knowledge transfer events.
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the UKG Pro Talent products across the organization internally and assists with troubleshooting escalated customer issues.
Mentors and trains others on tools, procedures, technology, standards, and guidelines.
Collaborates with leadership on identification and execution of process changes.
**Basic Qualifications**
3+ years' experience in a Product Manager or Software/Product Business Analyst position in an Agile or Lean Software Development environment
1+ years of proven project leadership experience
Able to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at multiple levels, while guiding individuals with different perspectives to a common outcome
Bachelor's Degree in a business or technology discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
Understanding of the Talent Management domain and knowledge of related domains
Experience establishing and supporting successful partner relationships
HR Certification(s) (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP)
Completion of Pragmatic Marketing or Silicon Valley Product Group product training
High degree of organizational skills and self-motivation with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex functional issues and synthesize new ideas, decomposing into granular requirements
Team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment to solve business problems

Product managers in the Pro Pay Pillar are essential members of our cutting-edge agile teams responsible for the delivery of mission critical payroll functionality in our innovative cloud based Human Capital Management (HCM) software solution UKG Pro suite.

This individual is an analytical thinker with payroll domain knowledge and strong customer focus, who is accountable for researching, analyzing and documenting clear and actionable business requirements and business outcomes.
This role requires talent and passion for solving problems, innovation and collaboration while leading high profile initiatives and driving business outcomes. Skills essential to this role are strong analysis, organization, written and verbal communication, leadership, problem solving, product strategy and sound decision-making based on data.
Core competencies that a product manager must possess include accountability, collaboration, team oriented, growth mindset, customer value creation, learning agility, operational excellence and service ownership.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Owns definition and direction of complex features and enhancements that have cross domain dependencies for the Pro suite
+ Defines and documents stories and conditions of acceptance with other stakeholders input including UX Designers and Developers
+ Defines and validates proposed value with customers and prospects using research, prototypes, and designs and drafts expected business outcomes
+ Identifies and manages cross team dependencies when leading a feature through the development process and delivery
+ Participates in roadmap building sessions and dialogue with Product and Engineering leaders
+ Works with internal and external stakeholders to understand the HCM/Payroll business problems our customers face and the jobs they need to complete as part of their specific roles
+ Responsible for requirement prioritization and evaluating trade-offs
+ Communicates with multiple stakeholders including customers, prospects, as well as various internal stakeholders and synthesize multiple inputs to ensure business problem or opportunity is fully understood
+ Helps ensure customers and the organization is ready for new product releases by leading knowledge transfer events (as needed)
+ Works with UKG Learning team to curate content to help internal and external customers adopt new functionality
+ Drives features through the development process by working with Engineering and user experience, prioritizes functional requirements, makes appropriate scope tradeoffs, and ensures completed capability satisfies customers' needs
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 5+ years of experience in a SaaS Product Manager or Product Owner role
+ Bachelor's Degree in a business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 5 or more years of experience in payroll and/or tax
+ Excellent interpersonal communication skills with ability to collaborate with development partners and communicate complex concepts to internal and external stakeholders
+ Strong analytical skills with ability to quickly understand the dynamic business and evolving compliance needs of our customers
+ Strong ability to partner and work in a collaborative team environment to solve business problems
+ Proven analytical, decision-making, and team building skills
+ Innovative thinker who can leverage UKG's innovative technologies to generate new ideas to solve business problems and drive business outcomes
+ Exceptional partnership skills with ability to inspire and lead development team without management authority
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills required to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.

This role is about:

- leading Ubuntu Core through its complete lifecycle
- shaping the development roadmap for the IoT stack
- engaging with IoT ecosystem and leading customers
- enabling commercial success and leading product direction
- driving go-to-market strategy and execution

This role encompasses leadership of the product and go-to-market in the embedded sector. It requires an analytical storyteller with a strong sense of message, and understanding of the challenges of developing and deploying embedded Linux devices. We prefer experienced professionals with software engineering management experience who want to become business executives and entrepreneurs to define product strategy and drive engagement.

The successful Product Manager will have:

- Product management experience in embedded Linux through its complete life-cycle, ideally with IoT connected devices, including yocto
- Good knowledge of Linux and the wider Open Source Software community and understanding of computer architecture
- Understanding of packaging technologies such as Docker containers & Snaps
- Familiarity with relevant embedded software, standards and the market, including trends, ODMs, silicons, cloud service providers and other key players
- Awareness of Ubuntu, our IoT offering and Canonical's competition and tactical opportunities
- Proven ability and passion to write about technology and the tech landscape
- Track record of data-driven decision-making
- A strong work ethic, and personal interests aligned with the field
- Excellent communications skills in English, both verbal and written
