We're looking for a **Full Stack Engineer (AEM,J2EE,HTML,CSS)** to join the engineering team at Modus.
**About You**
**Experience level: Senior**
**(In reference to requisition 1565)**
You are a versatile engineer with experience working with J2EE, AEM software,and associated plugins. You will get the chance to design efficient content models, workflows and templates inside the AEM tool.
You bring a minimum five years of experience in CSS, HTML, JavaScript, J2EE, AEM, Apache Sling and Apache Felix,. You have a good understanding of Web services, REST and RPC APIs, and a proficiency with code versioning tools, such as Git.
You have worked with teams before on large and demonstrable projects. You have outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as experience serving in the role of a "trusted advisor" to teams throughout an organization.You understand Agile software development, and DevOps practices, and can work closely with QA teams to optimize your code.
You relish creating high-quality code from the comfort of your own home. Your engineering projects will focus on understanding customers' needs and translating those needs from product specifications into functional, production-ready code. You'll have the opportunity to ship code daily that will be used by customers.
You are very proactive, demonstrate initiative, and are a logical thinker. You are proficient in diverse technologies and new architectural principles and concepts. You have experience in working in highly regulated environments.
- You love learning and understand that software is an ever-evolving world. You enjoy playing with new tech and exploring areas that you might not have experience with yet. You are self-driven, self-learner willing to share knowledge and participate actively in your community.
Having overlap with your team is critical when working in a global remote team. Modus requires all team members to overlap with EST hours daily. In addition, reliable high speed internet is a must.

About the role
UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) is looking for a software engineer to join its world class engineering team in Montreal for its latest Cloud platform: UKG Dimensions. This role is part of a new Full-Stack team we are building to compliment the existing teams in place and requires an engineer with a passion for software development. You will play a key role in the development of our SaaS offering, in a highly collaborative, agile environment. This role provides the opportunity to:
- Work with state-of-the-art Cloud technologies
- Develops supports, maintains, and implements complex components of a project module
- Works as a fully contributing team member, under broad supervision/ guidance
- Participates in the writing technical documents (functional specifications, design documents, etc.) as required
- Use and contribute to the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process (CI/CD).
- Contributes to the suite of automated testing
- Shows willingness and commitment to self-development
- Ensures timely and appropriate updating to relevant technical training material (documentation presentation etc.)
- Works on problems of relatively complex scope, through general usage of standard programming
**Qualifications**:
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of hands-on development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Python or C#.
- Experience with Kotlin as a Backend technology a strong plus.
- Exp. in Object-oriented analysis, design and programming, database modeling, etc.
- Good experience with Unit Testing processes and tools (JUnit,Qunit, Mockito, PowerMock, etc.)
- Good experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process (CI/CD).
- Exposure to database techniques/tools such as data modeling, Oracle, SQL, etc.
- Experience using one or more ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA.
- Excellent Debugging / Troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Angular and/or JS nice to have.
- Good Communication Skills.

Responsibilities:
Software Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code or various software applications and systems.
Design and Architecture:
Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders and in the architectural design of new features and systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Code Review:
Diligent about reviewing code developed by other developers, providing feedback and maintain a high bar of technical excellence to make sure code is adhering to industry standard best practices like coding guidelines, elegant, efficient and maintainable code, with observability built from ground up, unit tests etc.
Testing:
Build testable software, define tests, participate in the testing process, automate tests using tools (e.g., Nunit, Selenium) and Design Patterns leveraging the test automation pyramid as the guide.
Debugging and Troubleshooting:
Triage defects or customer reported issues, debug and resolve in a timely and efficient manner.
Service Health and Quality:
Contribute to maintaining the health and quality of services and incidents, promptly identifying and escalating issues.
Collaborate with the team in utilizing service health indicators and telemetry for action.
Assist in conducting root cause analysis and implementing measures to prevent future recurrences.
Dev Ops Model:
Understanding of working in a DevOps Model.
Taking ownership from working with product management on requirements to design, develop, test, deploy and maintain the software in production.
Documentation:
Properly document new features, enhancements or fixes to the product, and also contribute to training materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 -10 years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, .NET.
Experience with software development practices and design patterns.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git GitHub and bug/work tracking systems like JIRA.
Basic understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of building and shipping successful software products and services.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
