**Description

We are looking for a dynamic software engineer with a strong background in C#/.NET to maintain and enhance our Pricing and Invoicing Platform.

This Platform is used within the company by multiple business units in the Casualty Insurance Industry to evaluate prices for our products and then create invoices that are delivered to our clients. This is a software engineering opportunity where you will be focused on developing, designing, and testing an Azure-based Angular Application, its associated APIs, and creating Invoice and Report Artifact Templates.

**Responsibilities**:
Deliver solutions using the following technologies:

- C#/.NET
- Azure & Azure DevOps
- Angular
- Telerik Kendo Controls
- Aspose.NET Controls
- Work as part of a SAFe Agile team to deliver technology solutions using regular sprint planning meetings and daily standup calls.
- Understand, define, and develop product requirements; provide development estimates as needed.
- Use test-driven development to create unit and integration tests.
- Provide mentorship to junior members of the team.
- Assist in end-user support of new features when they are published to the production environments.
- Execute monthly administration processes.
**Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- 4+ years working within a.NET environment with strong skills in C#.
- 2+ years working in modern HTML5 web development, with Typescript and Angular front-end preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Hands-on experience with Unit Testing using XUnit or NUnit.
- Experience developing REST web services.
- Experience with Microsoft Entity Framework.
- Possesses strong organizational skills.
- Excellent analysis, design, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Software Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code or various software applications and systems.
Design and Architecture:
Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders and in the architectural design of new features and systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Code Review:
Diligent about reviewing code developed by other developers, providing feedback and maintain a high bar of technical excellence to make sure code is adhering to industry standard best practices like coding guidelines, elegant, efficient and maintainable code, with observability built from ground up, unit tests etc.
Testing:
Build testable software, define tests, participate in the testing process, automate tests using tools (e.g., Nunit, Selenium) and Design Patterns leveraging the test automation pyramid as the guide.
Debugging and Troubleshooting:
Triage defects or customer reported issues, debug and resolve in a timely and efficient manner.
Service Health and Quality:
Contribute to maintaining the health and quality of services and incidents, promptly identifying and escalating issues.
Collaborate with the team in utilizing service health indicators and telemetry for action.
Assist in conducting root cause analysis and implementing measures to prevent future recurrences.
Dev Ops Model:
Understanding of working in a DevOps Model.
Taking ownership from working with product management on requirements to design, develop, test, deploy and maintain the software in production.
Documentation:
Properly document new features, enhancements or fixes to the product, and also contribute to training materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 -10 years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, .NET.
Experience with software development practices and design patterns.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git GitHub and bug/work tracking systems like JIRA.
Basic understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of building and shipping successful software products and services.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- Demonstrate your strong commitment to code quality and automated testing
- Participate in the engineering process with code and architectural reviews

- Work remotely with global travel 2 to 4 weeks for internal and external events
- Assist with release management during each development cycle

**Required Skills**:

- Strong experience in Java and design patterns
- Experience with unit (JUnit), functional and performance testing methodologies and tools
- Experience working with Java 8 or above, Spring 4.x or above, Maven, Tomcat, Linux
- Experience working with JDBC, RDMS.
- Experience with developing and consuming REST APIs
- Have experience participating in Agile practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), refactoring, and design principles like DRY, SOLID, etc.
- Understanding of highly complex engineering systems like parallelization, multithreading.

**Description

As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll be embedded on one of our Compliance development teams. You will be engaged in feature development focused on implementing new US Tax Legislation support within our products. This is a hybrid software/system’s engineer position that has the breadth of knowledge encompassing all aspects of service delivery. You will get to work directly with other Developers, Quality Engineers, Business Analysts, and occasionally our support teams in a highly collaborative environment.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Develop enterprise grade solutions to maximize performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities while minimizing support and operational costs
- Partner with technical lead or architect to come up with designs for complex features to avoid problems, bottlenecks, and improper use of the product.
- Work independently to coordinate and implement solutions to complex technical issues
- Coordinate with other team members to align and ensure the integrity and quality of the final solution
- Collaborate outside of the team to align and achieve expected outcomes
- Identify and refactor areas of functional and architectural improvement
- Successful track record of mentoring new team members
- Provide leadership with new development efforts by contributing to the design and estimation of new features
- Handle the software development cycle from end to end for both functional and non-functional areas of our product.
**Requirements
- Degree or Studies in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience engaging with software/test engineers on enterprise level software development projects
- Experience with the development of API’s, Web Services and Forms development
- Experience with persistent data stores with enterprise-scale data.
- 5+ years with object-oriented design and development
- Agile or Lean Software Development experience such as Kanban or Scrum
- Proven experience successfully working within a team and managing a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Expert problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of the team domain.
- Positive team player attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance
